News: Out of the Woods have taken on two apprentices! To continue our support of traditional woodland craft and education we have agreed to two three year placements for coppice apprentices. Starting in January 2008 the apprentices will be working primarily with us and also with training from other members of the Hampshire Coppice Craftsmens Group. The apprenticeship scheme is part of the Bill Hogarth Memorial Apprenticeship Trust (BHMAT)apprenticeship scheme for more information contact The Green Wood Centre or BHMAT for the north of england . As the apprentices develop throughout the scheme they will be given training in the use of the tools required and learn good practice in woodland & coppice management. As the scheme progresses the apprentices are expected to take more of a lead role in the work that they do with the intention for them to become fully experienced coppice & woodland workers. Our role is to provide the apprentices with a safe working environment where they can experience first hand the diverse activities involved in working with coppice material and woodland crafts, have a go themselves and start to develop their own skill set. As well as experiencing the hard work involved in Green Oak Timber Framing. About Us: Specialising
in the use of
sustainably
managed woodland material, Out Of The Woods produce a wide range of
products. For a complete list please see our Online

We make Traditional Timber Frame buildings to specification and have recently been involved with the repair of a number of 15th century oak frames in Hambledon and Denmead. We are able to work with Architects and Structural Engineers to fullfill all of your Timber Framing needs. We are currently working on a large 3-bay garage which we expect to have completed by April 2008. For any
